Only two hours from the historic old capitol of Sandakan, moving deeper into the jungles. Here palm oil plantations thin out and are replaced by thicker and thicker tracts of forest. This river is home to some of the most varied wildlife in Borneo – here you can see all sorts of apes, monkeys, snakes, and bird life. If you’re lucky, you can even see elephants.
