This is the final wrap up post from my amazing time exploring the Pacific Island of Samoa. Samoa is one of those beautiful and untouched places where you can easily engage with locals, relax on spotless beaches, and eat some amazing food.
It is also a great place for budget travellers. So without further adieu here are some of my favourite photos from my 10 days in Samoa.
Our best photos of Samoa
A sunrise over Lano beach – an easy sight to see from your beach fale.
You can’t argue with a view like this…..
A typical beach fale – this is the normal style of accommodation you will find in Samoa.
Samoa is a great place for snorkelling, and the beaches are safe for swimming due to being protected by a reef. There is also a place on the island of Savai’i where you swim with sea turtles for a small fee.
Bananas and coconuts are plentiful, and these ones were free to munch on when waiting at the local bus stop on the island of Savai’i.
Local food is delicious and hearty. If you can, try to get invited by a local family to experience an “umu”. This is the traditional cooking method of Samoa.
A sunset over Manase beach – one of the popular beaches on the island of Savai’i.
