I only had a chance to visit the main island of Viti Levu, which is the island where you will most likely arrive by plane. I had intended to visit some of the other islands, such as the popular Yasawa group, but was unfortunately caught up in a tropical cyclone and had to change my plans…. dramatically.
Despite that, I still had a great time while on the main island, and took some amazing photos. Hopefully they inspire you to visit Fiji (check out my budget travel tips for Fiji), just try to avoid a tropical storm!
Our Best Photos of Fiji
I’m not going to lie, a lot of my time spent on Fiji was spent in a hammock.
The sun begins to set over the Coral Coast
Fire spinning and dancing is a major component of the local culture.
A local performer sits one out and watches the other dancers take over the stage
Kava drinking is a major part of local culture as well, and most backpackers or guest houses will offer an opportunity to take part in a kava ceremony.
