This photo, taken from the window of a moving train with a little borrowed Canon power shot highlights what I came to love in Norway. The dramatic landscape. We took a day long train journey from the capital of Oslo in the east to the city of Bergen in the west. From our seats on the train we watched as we went past mountains, glaciers, forests and lakes. Occasionally we would pass a lone house or tiny town – the only thing linking these people to the rest of civilization being the tracks we were currently speeding along.
This lone house was high up in the mountain landscape, perched upon the rocky soil and overlooking the glacial snow. With the exception of the few trains that pass daily, this must be a very peaceful spot indeed.
