Malaysia Photo Essay
I only spent 2 weeks in Malaysia, with the majority of that time in Kuala Lumpur. Yet I still managed to explore Melaka, Perhentian Islands, and Kuala Terreganu. The following collection are my favourite images from this time.
These two need no introduction, and are a recognized landmark of Kuala Lumpur.
Malaysia is made up of three main ethnic groups. Chinese, Malay, and Hindu.
The traditional lifestyle is still common place
I was lucky to meet up with another Couch Surfer who took me along to her regular cupping and scraping session. She gets this done every other week or so, to help with back and shoulder pain.
But modern influences are everywhere
Central Kuala Lumpur has some really great street art, especially for a fairly conservative culture.
Food, glorious food
I was lucky enough to be invited to take part in a cooking class with the Lazat cooking school in the suburbs of KL. Definitely worth it! Since I was there during Ramadan, as soon as the sun set the nightly markets were filled with delicacies.
