It’s that time of year again when people are making new years resolutions. Well, I also make travel resolutions, and you can see what my 2017 goals are in this post over here….
But new years is also a great time for reflection, so let’s look back at my goals of 2016, and see if I achieved them or not..
Goal #1 : Complete my 50 countries before 30 Quest
I achieved this with my trip to Papua New Guinea, which was also one of my travel highlights of 2016.
Country number 51 was visited soon after my 30th birthday with the Cook Islands ( I arrived the day after my 30th), and country number 52 was achieved with a visit to Philippines, which leads me to goal number 2…
Goal #2 : Explore another country in Asia
I spent two weeks in the Philippines with Jacob and two girlfriends and got to visit something I have wanted to experience since I first saw the photos in a national geographic as a child… the UNESCO world heritage rice terraces.
Goal #3 : Hobart attempt 2
I actually just recently ticked this one off. I just got back from a Tasmanian road trip today, and Hobart was one of the stops. And luckily we visited Hobart just before New Years Eve, so I did manage to squeeze this goal in as well.
Bring on 2017!
