Egypt is a transcontinental country located on the north east corner of Africa and south west corner of Asia. But I hope you already knew where it was. It’s the massive country at the top right (North East) of Africa. Its history and architectural heritage harks back to one of the oldest civilizations of the world as well as being host to some of the greatest wonders of the world. So, if you haven’t visited the country, as yet, then your next holiday most certainly should be to the country of pyramids and mummy’s and sphinxes and sand – lots of sand. Egypt has so much to offer in terms of sites to see that there are people who say that they have visited the country more than 10 times but still haven’t been able to see all the sights. The thing with Egypt is that there are so many well preserved ancient ruins and history buried here that new sites are uncovered regularly meaning that the country never gets old for tourists. Well it is old, but there are so many old things that there plenty…never mind, you know what I mean. Lonely Planet have a great guide to Egypt, here, if you’re interested.
So, in the truest manner, Egypt is an adventure that never ends. But rest assured that if you want to really enjoy this amazing country then you should well plan your trip long before you set foot on Egyptian soil. This is very important because you don’t want to be someone who came to Egypt and missed out on the grandiose sites such as Abu Simbel, the West bank or one of the wonders of the world- the pyramids of Giza. This missing out on the places to see is very common when it comes to Holidaying in Egypt simply because of the fact that Egypt is such a big country and the sites are so widely spread that the people visiting run out of time.
So, here are some of the must see wonders that you would not want to miss when you visit Egypt. This will help you better plan you holiday in the African-Asian country.

Out of all the pyramids, the pyramid of Khufu is termed by many as the most fascinating; standing at an awe-inspiring 455 feet It is the largest of all the pyramids.
Even though the place has not been able to withstand the test of time as well as other ancient locations of the country but still Karnak is one of the must see locations of Egypt. The site was a place of practicing religion for ancient Egyptians and is a testament to the Egyptian art of building. The image above if of Karnak (courtesy of Wikipedia)
