Chris from Aussie on the Road always writes great content, but I especially like this piece. A nice guy’s guide to meeting girls on the road. Who says nice guys finish last? Not here at OurOyster!
If Chris’s tips work well for you, then before you get too excited, you better read Laurence’s guide to sex while travelling. Luckily I have been fortunate enough to have never had to experience hearing my hostel roommates..errmm…..doing it – or at least I haven’t noticed. (I am a deep sleeper). A good etiquette guide to sex on the road.
Family On Bikes guest post at Inspiring Travellers – Why Travel With Kids Is GoodOf course, even if you follow Laurence’s advice about location,location,location but don’t take the necessary precautions, you might end up with a travelling family. OOooOO lame joke! But on a serious note – this post is really inspirational about why travelling as a family can be a really great experience for kids and parents both.
This post doesn’t really follow the theme of the first three, but I just loved it! I really identified with Megan’s light hearted list about how to spot a bohemian traveller.
Mallory On Travel – Local Cuisine, Global ShameOn a serious note – all travellers should read this post. Iain’s post about the environmental impact of tourists who seek out rare culinary experiences. Yes, trying new foods is an important part of travel, but travellers need to be more aware of the consequences of their actions. Is that bowl of shark fin soup causing a painful death and causing the eradication of a species? If so, maybe get the noodles instead.
